Tips: Urls with the word “torrent” are blocked on their non-P2P servers. This is a bit over the top in our opinion, but may be a flawed filter configuration (perhaps blocking “torrent” instead of “.torrent”?). But in any case, you can get around this in many instances by using the https:// version of a website instead of http://, if the site has it available. For example, http://torrentfreak.com is blocked, but https://torrentfreak.com works.
If you can’t connect to a server, try switching the software settings to TCP. Everything is UDP by default, which can sometimes have difficulty with the initial connection/handshake.
There’s a handy function on the software you can enable which allows you to change IP addresses while connected to a particular server.
After much research, I signed up with VPN4ALL a few months ago. It has performed flawlessly since day one. I can only recall a couple of occasions when Seychelles location wasn’t available for a few hours. No problem at all. I went to an alternate location and was online within 15 seconds. I’ve gotten into the habit of verifying location after selecting a server. So far, it’s been accurate. Most importantly, I’m impressed with the speed. For whatever reason, upload speed is faster than my ISP upload speed when not signed on to VPN4ALL. The download speeds vary, but never too slow that I can’t watch YouTube vids in HD. I like to test speed using speedtest.net.
It was a snap to setup and the software is very easy to use with great instructions, faq and help. The payment part is kind of a pain, but the tradeoff for tight security is worth it. Btw, my only issue is that if I use my default browser, Firefox, to open my account page, the page for whatever reason is so narrow that I can’t read all the fields that I need to see, making it impossible to submit a payment. I am forced to use IE browser which displays the account page perfectly.
Still, I’d highly recommend VPN4ALL based on its first rate security, performance, ease of use and pricing options.
1st class vpn, p2p servers and a huge choice of locations. Very slick software. not the cheapest but makes me feel safe.
For me the best vpn because of its advanced features. I can control every aspect of the process with this VPN. And the 12 month package is cheaper than the rest. As for torrents, I use it all the time and have no problems with it on their P2P servers. By keeping their non p2p servers IPs clean, this is by far the best service. Very few blacklisted IPs. The other top services allow their IPs to be blacklisted and then become quickly unusable. Its a pain to have to switch IPs all the time because they are blacklisted. This is a service that improves their product all the time. Been with them for 3 years now.
slick software,no logs, a large fast netowrk and dedicated p2p servers. great vpn
VPN4ALL performs flawlessly for me. The best feature is the TRUE PRIVACY you get with this svc. So far, I haven’t experienced any slowdown in speed, even using distant servers. I use the Seychelles server, since it’s physically located in an area where I know they’re not required to log. I read (and this may be wrong) that if they have servers in a country where logging is required, then they (VPN4ALL) would have to comply with court order. So I don’t know if VPN4ALL can say they don’t log in the USA, if US laws require it. Please correct me if I’m wrong, otherwise I’ll stick with Seychelles as the safest server location.
Lastly, I highly recommend this VPN service based on my experience with its excellent performance. Price is reasonable when you consider the expense of running a network like this.
good
good reliable vpn. speeds good, could do with more p2p servers as they can get a little crowded but i’m happy. expensive unless you go for longer plan. wish i’d seen the discount here before i signed (:
I am very satisfied with vpn4all, good speed and high security.
No problems at all so far.
Grabbed the 3 month mobile package for my HTC Thunderbolt. I pass through a lot of wi-fi hotspots while travelling and I wanted security and reliabilty and thats what you get. very easy to set-up and use some may find it a bit pricey but for me peace of mind is worth the premium
Is VPN4ALL still performing well on your Thunderbolt? I have a Droid Bionic, but hesitated getting this, as I thought it might slow down performance. I’m very happy with it on my PC, though.
Good secure offshore vpn, connection never drops and speeds are good. Easy to set-up and great interface. Helpful support team.
Great VPN, good server choice, secure privacy with IP switching, P2p servers and great value. Worth the investment!
