Service Overview and Reviews

Service: TorrentPrivacy is another anonymous paid proxy service using the SSH protocol.

By using this tool you not only disguise your IP but can bypass firewall and traffic shaping snoopers.

The software is incredibly easy to get started with, no manual configuration is needed and it works ‘out of the box’.

Privacy: TorrentPrivacy don’t store IP addresses and do not disclose any information to 3rd parties. See their Policy/Terms/FAQ

Our Thoughts: Bestvpnforyou.com tested the software as a bittorrent proxy a while back and it was OK if a bit expensive for what you got. They now also now include a fully fledged VPN service (which makes the price much more reasonable) but we have yet to test and rate this.

It used to work great. Now it blows and now i can’t even get an answer from support.

Used this software for less than five days and got charged anyway. Was supposed to be free for five days. Only got worse from there. Servers were down constantly. Support’s answer to the problem was try later. You don’t “try later” when you are paying for something. You expect it to work as advertised. Big waste of time and an even bigger waste of money.

Buddy

I tried their Anon torrent proxy and their VPN that allows torrent traffic.

their VPN is fine, but their Anon proxy is worthless as it blocks trackers

and their tech support work a rounds do not actually fix this matter at all.

since the number of VPN that allows torrent traffic is limited, you may

consider TP for that service, but there may are cheaper VPNs for that.

I was willing to pay more for TP because of their Anon SSH proxy, but

now that I see it does not work, or is unreliable or unsupported, then

I will only use their VPN till my subscription runs out and I can switch

to a cheaper VPN provider.

Status:

1-The proxies only allows TCP.

2-The customised uTorrent client lleaks UDP traffic. If you don’t filter it with your firewall, UDP is sent directly to the web with your IP address.

3-Maybe because of the outdated uTorrent version, or because it only uses TCP, many trackers will block you.

Conclusion:

1-Protection is good if you don’t use the default config but make sure to close UDP, otherwise it sucks.

2-Speed is good if you can get trackers to talk to you, which is rare.

I have used this service for years but as of the last update I can no longer connect to the server.

Icannot install the VPN and I can get no support.

Chat doesnot work

emails are ignored

forum questions and requset for help are no longer answered.

I assume they are out of business except they still collect the monthly fee.
