Huzzah! CISPA is dead!
The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) was temporarily put to sleep by the Senate on Thursday. Having already passed in the House, the move to shelve the legislation was not a total surprise given that the Obama administration had already threatened to veto it.

“Staff and senators are divvying up the issues and the key provisions everyone agrees would need to be handled if we’re going to strengthen cybersecurity. They’ll be drafting separate bills.” says a representative of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.
Separate bills…
They are not giving up so we’ll all need to be vigilant throughout the coming year. We’ll keep you posted with any developments.
