Does all it says. A good product at a good price.
I also did the DNS leak tests and Air VPN came out fine.
Didn’t rate the support category as I did not yet need it nor maybe ever will.
As for the rest, I can say after a few weeks using their service that it has not failed me except for a short period (under an hour) where airvpn was completely offline for reasons I don’t know. The protection as e.g. per dnsleaktest seems 100%, also from other angles I can’t discuss. One asterisk less for the reliability issue mentioned otherwise it would be a full rating. Speed is ok for me, the rating just reflects my knowledge that there are even faster services – however, at the price of 15 Euros per three months for airvpn they would be pricier so under that aspect they deserved a full 100% really …
Having read many many reviews on various VPN providers, almost always with some harsh comments from disgruntled users so far airvpn seems the only one that I would feel 100% well about and has me sleep undisturbed …
One problem that is not specific to airvpn but all vpn tunnels: if your ISP resets your IP you may lose contact to your VPN. That then makes most software (browsers, torrents etc.) revert to the normal gateway (cf. “route print” command in Windows/DOS) and that then exposes your “real” IP since the VPN will not reconnect seeing you are “another machine”. You should therefore delete the standard gateway AFTER the VPN has taken over, e.g. via batch file (“route delete” with admin rights – initially airvpn needs that standard gateway to create the tunnel, so delete afterwards). If the VPN then breaks down, the Internet remains “dead” for all software despite the cable still being connected.

Pretty happy with this provider so far. Might have a few more servers, but support is good and forum has active members. I’ll stick with them for now. Best provider I’ve used so far ..for that price at least.

Haven’t been disconnected once and I run Air VPN all the time, so cheap compared to others. Super easy setup…well what can I say, it is the best one out there! And the ability to pick servers based on loads, genius.
I looked at a lot of VPN providers before settling on AirVPN. It has tons of advantages – no bandwidth limitations (lots of VPN providers advertise “unlimited” bandwidth, but buried in their terms of service, they reserve the right to terminate your account if you use too much bandwidth), no logs, utmost protection of your privacy (including the possibility to pay via bitcoin), servers in several countries, ability to forward select ports, and low prices, especially if you sign up for at least 3 months at a time. Their servers saturate my home connection, and I’ve yet to experience any downtime on the main server I use. Haven’t needed any technical support yet, but people say it’s good. I use OpenVPN rather than their custom client, mainly because it’s easiest to prevent DNS leaks with the OpenVPN client. An awesome service.
First time VPN-user point of view.
Good speeds on several servers, depending on location & distance. So far maximum drop in speed is 21% to a server on another continent across the world. Although, another server on the remote continent is giving speed up to 89% of usual.
Easy to choose server selection policy based on bandwidth usage % is a nice feature.
One morning nothing (web page & servers) worked for an hour and a half, but then everything came back to life and all was well again.
Tested IP leakages with half a dozen tools, but to no avail, so everything seems solid.
Minor bugs with wrapper app, but nothing blocking.
Fast responses on troubleshooting inquiries (email).
Discount code worked.
All in all, very well worth the price (especially in the longer subscription plans).
